2.5This was incredibly bizarre. Yet oddly enthralling in that same sense. I wish I could've marked it up more for being so imaginative but there were so many things I felt were iffy about this book.Problems:•The unnatural dialogue•The writing wasn’t bad, just not to my style. The MC’s “voice” was ju...

Definitely unconventional. I'm not even sure why or how I ended up reading the entire thing. I guess regardless of the rather...unconventionality of this book, the writing was pretty good and rather engaging. It also had the advantage of preying on my morbid curiosity, I suppose...

This book did what I thought was the impossible--made spiders adorable. For that alone it earns a star. Vernon is smart, sweet, and absolutely loveable. And I'll give Drake kudos for being open-minded about the whole unplanned interspecies' sexual relations. Amazing job at making the reader accept w...

The thing I loved the most about them was that they were so affectionate with each other. I really believed in their love.A spider that makes cooing noises when you rub his...

This was awesome! I wasn't sure how I felt about one of the main characters being a spider alien (because spiders scare me!), but Mark Alders totally made it work. This was my first book read by him, but it definitely won't be my last. I can't wait until the next book in this saga! :)

Vernon want to know you!HEYYYYYYYY stop screaming!!! Come on... it's only a spider! A huge 13.12 foot spider but come on... give the guy a change! Now seriously, why it's such an amazing sci-fi book?First of all I loved the speed of story teller. Only Drake, a human lawyer, will be the narrator, so t...
