I randomly chose this one from the Christie books on my kindle during the weather related blackout. I didn't know what to expect as I didn't easily have access to the synopsis (and I believe my phone was in my car charging when I first started this one), so I went into it rather blind. I enjoyed t...

I went into The Pale Horse without much hope that I would enjoy it - I'm down to the last 8 (now 7) Christie novels, and I'm reserving the ones that I thought would be the best bets for enjoyment to the end. The non-Poirot or Jane Marple books are usually hit or miss for me. However, Christie does a great job with this one. The book is slow moving at first. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. If you’ve decide...

I liked the protagonist. The supporting cast was serviceable, though not impressive. It was an easy, quick read. The surprise ending was, in retrospect, quite plausible. So I give this a thumbs-up for mystery lovers.
