Lil Girl is all about Mo Willems and his famous pigeon. I love the fact that she can get into reading with inflection, and there's always a few giggles in each book.
My niece and nephew enjoyed this book. I think that duck's "subtlety" was lost on them just a little bit, but they still enjoyed the story and the solution to the dilemma.
The kid loves Pigeon and I too love Pigeon. What I don't generally love are sequels, but there are always exceptions. Some of the pigeon books are basically just re-imaginings of the original premise (Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus) - not a problem really, but also not something I'm gonna jump...
I have never met a child yet who hasn't adored these books...and I adore reading them out loud. Such fun! ETA 9/29/13: to add the other books in the series and to update the review.
Once again, Pigeon (and Mo Willems) makes me laugh. I LOVE Pigeon's attitude - and then his ultimate change of heart. This book is so much fun to read with my daughter.
