I started this series because I can't get my hands on Queen of the Darkness, and now I'm hooked on this series too and I can't find Shadows and Light; totally unfair.

Fantasy novel. Witches, sidhe, inquisitors and a lot of yawning on my side of things... I read a few really wonderful reviews, eagely got a copy... and it took TWO MONTHS to get through it. Basically had they offed a lot of the side plots and chats between side characters where they tried in dialogu...

Admittedly, I barely got through the first few chapters of The Pillars of the World, but it was awful. Oh noes! Those evil mens are burning the kind, peaceful, beautiful witches!
I probably would have given this five stars if the Master Inquisitor's torture tactics hadn't been so gruesome. I started reading this book like a year ago and put it down after the second chapter because the suffering was just too damn vivid. I just don't like to go to such dark places, and it turn...
I haven't cried for that long after a book in a long time. However long Amazon takes to send me the next 2 is way too long.
