I was seriously contemplating giving this one star. The Pledge had an interesting premise, but it utterly failed. The sole reason I didn't give this one star was Xander and Brooklynn. They were definitely the most interesting characters (far more so than Max and Charlie) and if the story was written ...
Loved Xander particularly when he bows and says: "Your Majesty." Loved Charlie and her sister and all the characters of this book because no one died , thanks to the sweet Angeline, except the evil queen herself. Hurray.
I loved the beginning of the book. I thought the concept of that it goes back to a class system and the the different languages between classes was really interesting. It had enough of a fresh twist on a typical dystopian to set it apart from other similar books within the genre, and the addictive ...
