The Prince - Niccolò Machiavelli, Peter Bondanella, Mark Musa
The Prince
by: (author) (author) (author)
Described both as a practical rule-book containing timeless precepts for the diplomat and as a handbook of evil, this work of great originality--based on first-hand experience--provides a remarkably uncompromising picture of the true nature of power.

5.0 Sound Advice for a Budding Ruler
Having now read this book three times I sort of wonder how Machiavelli's name came to represent a sort of politics that involved deceit, manipulation, and backstabbing, because for those who claim that this is what the Prince is about have probably read the wrong book, or probably not read the book ...

I'm probably not the best person to say something useful about this book, since I'm neither a historian nor very into politics, but as a reader, I still like to spread my thought about it. If you're looking for an in-depth analysis of the book, this review is not what you're looking for. I decide...

3.0 The Prince
Although it is a blueprint for how to rule over the common people, it has some really great points that carry over into many of life's situations.

4.0 Il principe
Finished “Il principe" written by Machiavelli today. I liked it, it’s interesting and easy to read. The chapters are short so you don’t get tired while reading it. I’m glad I read it by choice and not because I had to study it because otherwise I would have hated it.
