I liked the other Mage-books; the next book in the series was a real page-turner! This book, however, was boring me to tears. Hardly anything was happening and there was a lot of angry, long winded dialogue.
I was really not impressed. I liked the first duology- liked, not loved- and I'm not really sure I see the point of this second one. This book didn't make me feel sympathetic or any other kind of connection with the characters to make me want to read the sequel to it. All the characters seemed to be really extreme: either extremely cocky, extremely arrogant, extremely stupid, extremely fragile, extremely helpless, extremely annoy...
