I will admit that I’m a sucker for books that show interesting family dynamics. This definitely one of them, as Devan goes to live with the mother she’s never really known. I liked the way it took on issues of family and identity and belonging, while also being compulsively readable. Devan’s relatio...

I originally posted this review on Consumed by Books. As you’ve all figured out by now, I am willing to give most YA contemporary novels a shot, especially if it’s possible that romance will be involved. The Reece Malcolm List caught my attention when April and Kelly both gave it incredibly positive...

I absolutely adore Devan's inner monologue. She's got a sweet snark [if that exists] and the strike through words are perfection. I loved the characterization of LA, how the city seemed to come alive on the pages. A quick, fun read that will be a definite reread in the future.

Mostly smart and cute but then sometimes not so smart and not so cute as well; I be contradictory yet again! Loving this comes as a surprise to me mostly because I didn’t know what to expect… what it does, however, is read funny, fast and almost always authentic. All that plus it leaves me smiling (...
