by D.J. Molles
I had high hopes for this book in the beginning. A man is one of a few that are kept in bunkers when bad events take place in the US. This last time bad things really did happen. He's been expertly trained for years. So, when he does really stupid things, I'm saying to myself What the Fudge! I would...
This is a really good book that kept me on my toes. This is the best post-apocalyptic book that I have ever read. I think that D. J. Molles is a very good author. I am currently reading Aftermath, the second book and it is also really good. I can not wait to finish this series!
The Remaining by D.J Molles is an awesome book. From the very beginning it has you questioning society and what it would be like to live in a world with no sense of government or authority. The main character Captain Lee Harden of the U.S Army has to fight his way not only through infected people of...
In D. J. Molles' debut novel, he shows that the United States government is prepared for everything, even when the world and human population is coming to an end: In a bunker under his home, Captian Lee Harder awaits instructions that this was another false alarm and he can return to his normal lif...
I'm sorry, I really am, but I'm going to have to call it quitsies on this book. I don't like DNFing books, I've only done it a handful of times in my life, but I really can't go on. For the last twelve days I have struggled to make myself read more of this book, averaging out at about 5 pages per da...
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest review. I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant when I had NetGalley send a copy of this novel to my Kindle. I had read a sample of another one of Molles' work and to be honest I was taken aback by the misogyny exhibited by the characters....
Lee is part of a secret government project to be deployed should the worst happen. Whatever that worst is. Whenever a crisis hits the US, he and his fellows go to ground in their bunkers to weather the storm and emerge in the aftermath There have been many drills, many false alarms and Lee didn’t th...
Eh, maybe like 3.5+ stars but I'm feeling generous. It's one of those books that is well done, so you're happy with it and glad you read it and will read another one in the series ... but then you look at other books you've rated four stars and you kind of feel like it wasn't on the same level. And ...
One of the better post-apocalyptic novels out there but it ends in a major cliffhanger so I feel compelled to read the sequel.
