It's been two months since I read this (why, yes, I am terribly behind on my reviews), so I'm resorting to Goodreads for the summary:Beneath the glitter of nineteenth century London society lurks a bloodthirsty evil...Vampires have always lived among them, quietly attacking unsuspecting debutantes a...

it's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets 19th Century novel and while a lot of the tortured manners does make an occasional appearance I didn't feel that it was well-anchored in a period while I was reading. It was in that 19th century romance period that has corsets and complicated dressing but a lot...

This was way better than I thought it'd be. Victoria was a great main character and there was a great lot of action, which kept the pace moving. There was a bit of an info dump at the beginning, plus I got annoyed at the aunt at the start for some reason but I think I'm over that now. Looking fo...

This is a re-read, but I am enjoying it more than the first time, I think.. The idea of a Lady (capital 'L' Lady)running around killing vampires in Victorian England is entertaining. And I hated Max the first time around, but don't mind him near as much now.

Me encanta esta serie : Buffy en el siglo 19! (con su propio "vigilante" y todo)

Pros:- Very Buffy-like, complete with "poofing" vampires, nightly patrols, and a Chosen one. I have a soft spot for that show and I can't help but wonder if the author does as well.- The time period really worked for me. I've read historical romance with vampires, but it never felt like reading a re...

This was like Buffy meets the Victorian age. Victoria assuming the family legacy of vampire hunter and balancing the society life of a girl coming out was just ok for me. There is a little romance threaded thru the storyline, but didn't leave ya with that warm & fuzzy feeling. The first half drug...
