I have to admit that I still could not stop - being on many 21 hour buses might have helped, but I was still enjoying them, so that says something!
This is the anthology of short stories that followed the 'killing' of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle got tired of his creation and its fame that he thought he could get rid of him and write other stories.
