Perhaps it is difficult for people today to understand the furor that arose when Satanic Verses (SV) first came out. Even with the Danish Cartoons of a few years ago, it almost seemed to belong to another time. Perhaps this has to done with how the news media covered the cartoons. I’m not sure. ...
