The BasicsThis being the tenth volume of The Sandman, it’s hard to write about this without ultimately spoiling anyone. A lot of things have changed via the ending of the previous volume, and Gaiman is wrapping things up and saying some goodbyes. My ThoughtsThis is a weird review to write. I’ve been...

I was one of those teens. But flicking through this I don't feel nostalgia, but, surprisingly a new respect and appreciation for the dark romantic aesthetic & philosophy. Suddenly I realise the smug contempt I have felt for my former self and the scene was completely misdirected and unfair. After ye...

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I'm quite sad that it's over.I've been reading the books since September and I've never read such creative, interesting, philosophical graphic novels with such great characters. It was interesting to see all the stories come together in the end.

The last two volumes of this series have made me come to the conclusion I don't really like Neil Gaiman. I want to. I really do. I enjoyed some of the earlier books in this series (Vol. 4). When it comes down to it I am not interested. And I have tried multiple books and graphic novels of his.

It is very hard to say goodbye to a really excellent series and also to Morpheus. Review later.

As I wrote my last review of this work of art called The Sandman, a song by Pat Martino was playing on my iPod - a song called "Dreamsville".This is the funeral, the wake, and the epilogue to the story of Morpheus, known also as Dream. Please pay your respects accordingly. And then tip your hat to t...

Lovely, but sad. Well, it's mostly eulogies, isn't it?Charles Vess's art rather disappointed me, since The Tempest was likely to be a favorite chapter otherwise. Jon Muth's art fit his chapter perfectly.Library copy.
