I initially thought that "The Search" was going to be a very good romantic suspense novel, but I ended up disliking the male hero so much that it ruined any enjoyment I previously had and then soured me on the book. Roberts did a lot of research it seems into Search and Rescue and dog behavior which...

Okay...There are so many things I didn't like about this book I don't know where to start. I made a list of the things that bothered me. They aren't in any particular order but are numbered.1. The Search AKA "How to train dogs" had a lot of dialogs completely devoted to training dogs and dog behavio...

This review was originally posted on One Curvy Blogger I re-read The Search when I am in a book slump and lose interest in starting a new-to-me book. The best way for me to get out of a book slump is to pick up an old favorite I know I will enjoy, and this is one of them I usually reach for. I love ...

After my awesome friend Branwen told me she liked this book, I just knew I have to read it and I loved it. Simon was something refreshing and in combination with Fiona and the four dogs it was perfect.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense. I particularly liked that the plot covers both the rescue dogs events and the serial killer activities. It was interesting how the heroine handled the hero and his caveman tendencies. Simon brings his out-of-control puppy to Fiona's school for training.
Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories
Nora Roberts can conjure with words better than any author I have ever read, this story will make a dog lover smile while wishing for a Jaws of their own! For those a bit squeamish some of the scenes and information will make you faint of heart but in the end this is a story you will be glad to have...

The charming curmudgeon thing didn't really work for me and I did eventually get bored with the dog training. But the search and rescue was interesting as was the "mystery." So...I liked it.

Tons of reviews, so I won't say much. I haven't been too thrilled at the last couple of Nora books I've read. She seems to be pulling away from the romance and leaning more toward inner dialogue and halfhearted suspense, but I didn't find this book to be the same. I loved the hero, Simon. He's a...
