I would give this book fewer stars but it's not the author's fault that I am dense and I've no idea what I just read. I had to read the ending twice to 'get it'. I don't know why Veronica didn't just come out and say it? I'm still so confused....
A good elegant novel, written with precision and with a surprising development, which I underestimated until the very end. I think there is a dip towards the middle-end where it loses itself a little, which is it does not get 5 stars from me. Still, this is my first Julian Barnes and it will not be ...
