In this triumphant volume, the courageous Ayla and her beloved Jondalar, along with their animal friends Wolf, Whinney, and Racer, have completed their epic journey across Europe and are greeted by Jondalar’s people, the Zelandonii. These people of the Ninth Cave fascinate Ayla, and in their spiritual leader — the woman who initiated Jondalar into the Gift of Pleasure — she finds a fellow healer with whom to share her knowledge. But as Ayla and Jondalar prepare for their formal mating at the Summer Meeting, there are difficulties. Not all the Zelandonii are welcoming. Some fear Ayla’s unfamiliar ways and her relationship with the Clan, openly opposing her union with Jondalar. Now Ayla must call on all her wisdom and instincts to find her place in this complicated society, to prepare for the birth of her child, and to decide on the role she is to play in shaping the destiny of the Zelandonii. Ohhh Miss Auel. I love this series, I really do, but unfortunately this is the book that has always held me back from the final book. I struggle to get through it.This book is 100% filler. 2.0 Jean M. Auel - Dzieci Ziemi, tomy: 4, 5 i 6
Do ostatnich stron "Krainy jaskiń" miałem nadzieję, że autorka choć na chwilę wróci do klimatu, jaki posiadał pierwszy tom sagi - "Klan Niedźwiedzia Jaskiniowego". I faktycznie: nadzieja matką głupich, przysłowie to mówi samą prawdę... Mówiąc o Dzieciach Ziemi stale myślę o grach wideo. Konkretn...

Biggest waste of time. I think I'm giving up the series, even if it is just one more book left. I just can't go through more pointless introductions and repetitive descriptions about Ayla's 'inventions' and "Pleasures" shared with Jondolar. I just can't.

there was a big gap in when the first 4 books were published and when the 5th and then the 6th came out. i was hoping that with the break, that auel would be able to tend to some of the things that made the first 4 books less than perfect. to her credit, to some extent she did. the writing was a ...

4.0 The Shelters of Stone (Earth's Children, Book Five)
It looks like I've come to the end of a long journey, I've read the reviews for Painted Caves and it doesn't look pretty... a lot of recap and rehash, which I must say is prevalent throughout the series, the author almost wants to make it so you don't have to start at the beginning of the series, bu...
