The mid-point of the series. I liked this northern setting, and thought that Flanagan made good use of Alyss, and her strength and loyalty.I hated the whole hypnotism thing.Having Horace and Will back together again - and on their own - was outstanding. Sniff, sniff, they're so grown up.

Overall, this book was better than I expected. The writing is definitely meant for younger kids so bear that in mind. This book also is mainly an extension of the last book and is not meant to be read separately. I did think that the ricochet arrows was a little far fetched but most of the other act...
A very satisfying ending to the storyline that Flanagan started in Book 5.
