Gerritsen books continue to be among my favorites. This novel follows form as she presents a suspenseful, tight, and fairly believable story of a serial killer who is literally hiding right under the Boston PD's noses. Throw in the main protagonist, Jane Rizzoli, and ties to ancient Chinese martial ...

So, I finished this a few days ago but I wanted to give it time to soak in before I commented it on it. All in all, I liked this book. In fact, this has quickly become a favorite author of mine, and to have that happen with one book, especially me, is kind of shocking. I usually try to give it tw...

As always, Gerritsen writes a fast paced and intriguing story. This book kept me entertained throughout. The villain was obvious but of course, there was a spin, that was not. This book was more Jane focused as the last book was more Maura focused. These books are an entertaining read and keep my in...

The attempt to graft Chinese mythology and involve Chinatown felt strained and clumsy and definitely stilted.

Really enjoyed Gerritsen's writing yet again. Mystery kept me guessing till the end and lots of little things to keep track of. I would have liked more Maura but other than that it was good. I liked that Gerritsen wrapped up the issues from Ice Cold and Rat.

Read it on my Nook. It was another terrific addition to this series. I love reading these books, but I am starting to feel a little sad that I am almost caught up with the author and will have to wait for new releases.

I shouldn’t have skipped books 3-8. There, I’ve said it. And now I’ll zip it shut so I don’t spoil it for anyone else.In The Silent Girl, Jane investigates a murder reminiscent of a 19-year-old murder-suicide in Chinatown. Mythology features prominently in this installment set in Chinatown, with a c...

A severed hand is found in Boston’s Chinatown and soon afterwards, Detective Jane Rizzoli finds the rest of the woman on a rooftop. The victim is dressed in all black and her head has been cut so severely that her head is nearly separated from her body. Two silver hairs are the only clues found at t...
