by Jacqueline Wilson, Nick Sharratt
This was the very first Jacqueline Wilson book I read when I was a kid. This book made me start my huge collection of her books and I'm still collecting today.
And The Story of Tracy Beaker was absolutely delightful. A book of diary entries written by a young girl in foster care. Could have been sad (and was, at times) but was also hilarious and true.
This story centers around a 10 year old girl (Tracy Beaker) living in a childrens' home. Despite her tough-nut act, Tracy is a child who is hurting terribly.
