For more reviews, check out my blog Craft-CycleThis book was much better than I thought it would be. I picked it up in the clearance section because I was intrigued by the cover. My expectations weren't very high, but this book definitely exceeded them. This is a unique story of maneuvering your way...
When sixth grader Dwight makes an Origami Yoda, kids in school begin to seek Dwight and Yoda for advice to help them solve their problems. But Tommy is unsure if he should take his advise and decides to write a case file to evaluate Yoda's credibility. This book has been extremely popular with young...
I heard a lot about this book on the internet (apparently there is/was a whole hype about it). Sorry to say, but this book was nice, but nothing really special.Maybe because I read it in Dutch, and the many things that have been Dutchified (Wilhelmina and some other things), but I felt the story lac...
I'm not sure what I expected from a book with a title such as this (expecting high art from a book centered on a wise paper finger puppet is not a good idea), but I was ultimately a little disappointed considering this book's reputation. (Then again, I didn't much like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books...
I know I have just finished this in January, but I'm going out on a limb, may the force be with me, and say this just might be my favorite book of the whole year! LOVED it! Genius it is! Recommend highly I do!

I will heavily recommend them at work in the future, though.I have to p...
Cute little story about a finger puppet and a group of sixth graders. It is a very quick read and perfect book to get boys interested in reading. Set up as a case file, each chapter is a story about what Yoda did for the kid telling the story. Has a very cute ending!
6/26/12 ** Changed to 4 stars after this reading; Re-read this summer b/c this book is one of the 20 on the upcoming year's Young Hoosier Nominee list. Getting ready for book talks. When I read Wonder (R.J. Palacio) several weeks ago, I was thinking of this book as well. Both books lead to excell...
So, I try to be better parent and read the stuff the boy is reading, so I can act like I'm being censorious to the stuff that might be "bad" or whatever. And I think I've said this before, but a middle grade novel is still a novel, so you have to commit to it in a way that you can't or don't with p...
