2.5 Review: The Sweet Far Thing — Long-Winded but Life-Like!
Hmmm… I came across an article that mentioned the magic in this series was actually a metaphor for girls coming into their own powers. Whether the author intended it to be taken that way or not, I found the book less random when I read with that in mind. Although, whenever the thought slipped my min...

Well, I finished this series. This book seemed long and an arduous at times, especial in around the middle. I had to remind myself of the age of the characters multiple times through the book because their priorities were so self focused even after everything that happened in the last book. I did li...

3.0 The Sweet Far Thing (Gemma Doyle, Book 3)
A decent, satisfying, if overly long-winded conclusion to a well-crafted series. I can't say I enjoyed all 819 pages of this -- 200 pages could stand to be excised for a more streamlined novel - but it was worth reading.
