The Sweetest Thing -- Jill Shalvis Book 2 of Lucky Harbor It's safe to say that The Sweetest Thing is much like my impression of it's preceding book, Simply Irresistible. It's formulaic as a typical love story with an overused plot device.HOWEVER, that is where my complaints stop, honestly. Beca...
29/5 - This was so full of clichéd situations and over-used romance novel tropes (love triangle here we come - has Khanh read this, she'd love it). One particular scene was so ridiculous, I actually don't think I've read a stupider, more contrived reason to bring about a situation ripe for sex (in ...
Tara has a thousand good reasons not to return to the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington. Yet with her life doing a major crash-and-burn, anywhere away from her unfulfilled dreams and sexy ex-husband will do. As Tara helps her two sisters get their newly renovated inn up and running, sh...
This was another great read! I loved it. Jill Shalvis is genius in creating characters that one can relate to on so many levels. In The Sweetest Thing we have Tara, the oldest sister, who has gone through a lot in her life, is a struggling divorcee and has all these walls up as an attempt to guard h...
3.5 StarsDon't quite know what to say about this one.It was a good enough story, but I felt like nothing really happened in it.I wish that at least a bit of drama would of happened to get us more into the book, but it was just smooth all along.
One definite plot point I (generally) don't like is the exes becoming a couple again. Having said that, I think this book is relate-able when speaking about first loves and the maturity that comes as we age.
Oh man I want to move to Lucky Harbor! What wonderful characters live there. I will admit that Tara got on my nerves in [b:Simply Irresistible|7863423|Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1)|Jill Shalvis|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1323268405s/7863423.jpg|11018887] and though I really ...
3.5!Well, this book was sweet and cheesy at times. This was certainly a light, easy, love read. No major conflicts, or twists, or tragedies. This was a light heart, fun read to the point of boring. At one point, I wanted to stop reading, but it got good when Mia showed up.I liked that it was a long ...
