Even though some parts of the book were interesting and entertaining, I rhink it was disappointing in general. I had so much fun with Queen of the damned, that The tale of the body thief left me with an insipid taste.
This was the last of Rice's Vampire Chronicles that I finished. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but started to get the sense that Rice had fallen in love with Lestat and that maybe turning Lestat into a human so he could have sex was a bit of wish fulfillment on her part.
