The Teacher & The Soldier is the second in the Ellery Mountain series, and immediately isn't as 'funny' as book one. This is because it is dealing with a serious subject in PTSD! Whilst the story mentions this, it doesn't take over the story of Daniel and Luke, but rather helps to emphasise why peop...
As with book one, this one needs a thorough proofreading. But I liked the story. I'm a bit on the fence on whether the length of the story is enough. It is and I feel the stories are complete, yet at the same time, I wish there was just a bit more. Again, the insta-love in this series is a bit chees...
I love a good number of themes in my romance and this book has a favorite of mine: damaged hero a la PTSD abuse survivor Luke. For less than 100 pages I know not to expect major depth but this story is pretty solid. It delivered enough FEELS without making me curl up in a ball, begging for hugs like ...
I have a feeling things aren't over for these two, they have some serious issues to sort out.The book had a few errors that hadn't been caught by the proof readers and at least one instance where names got switched.Plan to buy book three once my self imposed book buying embargo is over.
Apart from the book finishing at the 85% mark in the ebook version (which is really disappointing when you think you have a bit more to enjoy), I really liked the story. This series just has a real feel-good vibe about it. All the characters are lovely and there is a happy ending - very easy reading...
Me like this one too. I loved the first one and Daniel and Luke in this was were just as good as Max and Finn. It was lovely to see how easy Luke and Daniel fitted together with the drama. I had high hopes for these two and they were met. Kieran's book is next and I can't wait!
I enjoyed the first Ellery Mountain story and this one didn't disappoint either. My only complaint is I wish they were longer. Looking forward to the next one.
Daniel was awesome. Wish there had been more about the veteran's center though. Also wish the story was longer. A few editing errors - names being reversed - but not too bad. Looking very forward to the next one and am now firmly a fan of RJ Scott.
R.J. Scott takes us on another fabulous visit to the Town of Ellery and Daniel Skylar was all I was hoping he would be... definitely no skimping on the hotness factor there! After reading The Fireman and The Cop and meeting Daniel Skylar, the dark and brooding ex soldier who rides a motorbike, has a ...
