I don't think I'd like these if I first read them today, but they're very soothing as nostalgia re-reads.
I absolutely loved The Temporary Wife! Charity & Anthony were perfect for each other and they helped each other in ways they had not planned. A Promise of Spring I was not as fond of, there were too many frequent jumps between characters & plot lines. I found it annoying & confusing.
I only read The Temporary Wife. I enjoyed it.
Liked The Temporary Wife quite a lot. Just could not get into A Promise of Spring. If I could rate them separately, I'd give 4-stars and a DNF, respectively.
