The Third Circle by Amanda Quick Book 4 of Arcane Society Leona Hewitt has secretly made her way into Lord Delbridge’s private museum to retrieve a relic stolen from her family. But someone else is in the dimly lit gallery on the same errand: a tall, black cloaked man whose very voice is enough to...
Funnily enough I recall reading books #1 and #2 several years ago and then I somehow read book #3 and #5. Don't ask me why I skipped around like that. One good thing I can say is that the books really don't need to be read in order, however, I would suggest that readers do in order to keep certain r...
This is the second of the historical end of the Arcane Society novels and the fourth written about this interesting group who both promote and hide paranormal talents. Looking into the past allows a certain amount of the present series to be understandable. The "present" is about operatives within...
Leona is an intensely annoying heroine who asks the most asinine questions at the worst times. The hero kept having thoughts of strangling her and I kept yelling "Go for it!" It annoyed me enough to keep me from even trying the rest of the Arcane Society series.

This book although not the 1st in the historical "portion" of the Arcane Society series could still be read without having any knowledge of the previous book...
Continuing the story....I find I am enjoying them more when I am reading them in order by author name, rather than reading them in chronological order. Of course, having read the whole of the Dreamlight series first, I'm utterly out-of-order. Enjoying them a lot, though.
Okay, so these books are Victorian, not Regency. I'm going to abandon all my history training and say -- close enough. It feels like Regency romance novel conventions are in play.
