This is a book I just did not finish. I got about 30% in according to my kindle. Theres's just something about Ashley that I did not like, and therefore I just couldn't continue reading a story narrated by her. I definitely wanted to enjoy this book. Perhaps I'll try reading it again at a later date...

Ashley Lockett has recently lost her father due to cancer. She is alone in her grief. Her brother is away at college, acting like nothing happened, and her mother has buried herself in work, barely speaking to her daughter. Realizing playing it safe has not gotten her anywhere she decides to rebel. ...

4 STARS"There's so much more going on in the world (other) than sex.""Not when you kiss me."This genre gets enough pain as it is from me and this month I found myself distancing from it in favor of wizards, succubi and assassin nuns. I never thought I'd see the day when I would have a hankering for ...

This one was just okay for me -- I mean, I read it so obviously it held my attention...but it just didn't evoke any kind of response. I didn't find myself invested in anything. Not the characters, the storyline, the outcome. I just wanted something to read while I couldn't sleep -- so I guess the...

Maybe more of a 3.25 than a 3, but not a 4 in my books - it just wasn't quite my cup of tea. Which is a pity.First of all, take a look at that cover. All sunshine and love and summer and happiness? No. It's not. The cover is a lie and it meant that what I read was completely different from what I ex...

Shallow. Selfish. Those are the only adjectives I can use to describe every part of this book.Ashley. She was so fucking confusing and I really don’t understand her thought process. Colt reminds her of her dad so she immediately wants to sleep with him. UH. WTF. NO. I understand that everyone grieves...

As someone who enjoyed Leigh's first book, The Truth About Faking, I was looking forward to reading its companion, The Truth About Letting Go. This book is set in the same town, but focuses on new characters, so while the names of the previous book's characters are mentioned, it's not necessary to r...
