What is it about these books? I can't stop reading them. This one was another adventure in the lives of Miss Penelope Lumley and the Incorrigible children - and a ridiculously far-fetched one, in my opinion. Certain aspects/plot points were downright silly and unbelievable, well beyond the normal...
When you have been raised by wolves, you tend to be a bit incorrigible. That’s okay. It gives you a bit of strong-minded-ness that is often lacking in our milktoast world. Like the story. Like the illustrations.
Another wonderful part in this series. I loved it, the Ostrich, the wolves, the seance, our governess miss Lumley, the children. :) Can't wait until next year, when I will get the paperback of the next part in the series.
The third installment in The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series.I felt it was a bit slower, but on the whole moved forward the plot. I like this series more with each book. Miss Lumley has now been looking after the Incorrigibles for a year, and they are, by most standards, superior children. Now an ostrich takes the children and the governess on an overnight expedition, which is hilarious. But the bigger mystery is taking up mor...
