By far the best book in the series with interesting characters and cleverly written intrigue.
When this book first came out, in the UK, it was called "The Visitor", which makes a whole lot of sense to me: it links to the plot, it's ambiguous about the nature and identity of the visitor and it's easy to remember. Inconceivably stupid story full of annoying, unlikable characters (and that includes Reacher). A plot so preposterous, it could have been written by a 3rd grader. Clumsy dialogue. I could list all the ways the book frustrated me, but I didn't want this review hidden behind spoilers.
