This is one of the best Star Trek novels I've ever read. You've got more Vulcan sociology than in any episode of any of the shows, excellent characterizations and a murder mystery. Yeah, the murderer's a little easy to spot, but it's a science fiction/family tale, not a straight whodunit. Definitely...
