AudiobookAt first I thought the male protagonist might have some form of autism, but nope he's just an asshole. The romance part, after all he did and didn't do, didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. An okay book.

I so liked Vanessa. She was tough, smart and capable. She got shit done. And she was very reasonable. I could relate so much. And the Wall of Winnipeg? So so good as the male protag. I liked very much that he wasn't smooth, overly charming or even especially witty. I loved the slow burn and th...

4.5 starsI really enjoyed this one. The female lead was easy for me to love. It seems like I often can't make a connection with women in romance books, but I think this one is awesome. The male lead is a great guy too. I truly appreciate him being a good person. He's a huge, rich football playe...

It's always satisfying to be pleasantly surprised by a book whose primary genre is romance. The characters are not the usual stereotypes and the the romance is slow-burning. Slow-brewing even. No insta-love&lust. No Too Stupid to Live. No particular conflicts or precipitous events but a steady unfur...

My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts... It’s been quite a long time since I read a Mariana Zapata book. The last one I read was one of her early releases. It burned me so bad I had to take a step back and reconsider ever reading any of her books. But I’m glad I finally decided ...

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans and none of them include washing extra-large underwea...

This was just my 2nd book of Mariana Zapata and I loved it as much as Kulti. So, this book follows the story of Vanessa, the assistant/house keeper of Aiden, a famous NFO athlete. She wanted to pursue her own dream and staying in her job would not make that happen so she decided to quit. She and A...

3.5Tiene todos los clichés típicos que caben en una novela de romance contemporáneo...-el millonario, una estrella de *inserte deporte aquí-la chica súper independiente que puede con todos, (español para cute quirky girl who makes funny jokes and it's just, OH, SO ADORABLE AND SMART!)-la familia ma...

This is the first book by Mariana Zapata I've read. I borrowed it via Kindle Unlimited. I have to say, I enjoyed it. The relationship between the hero and heroine developed so slowly, though. So very slowly. I did stay up late two nights in a row reading, though, so I was in to it.
