A rating of three because it is well written but the characters seem like a rip from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. If the author modeled her characters after the characters in Austen 's book then she did a good job of capturing Lizzy, Mr. Collins, Mr. Bingley and of course Mr. Darcy.
This was a lot darker than I expected. The portrayal of the dysfunctional and toxic relationship of Xavier with his mother adds a lot of depth to his character and makes his rakish nature understandable.
