by William Nicholson
The Wind on Fire is one of my all time favourite series. The Wind Singer seemed to me a hefty read as there was so much going on. The world creation was very well done in this novel, and Nicholson has a great handle on suspense and writing to elicit emotion.Highly recommended.

A lovely fantasy book. It’s quite standard in some ways, but the characters are fun and I found myself unexpectedly touched by certain parts of it.
Simple, but just what I want from a young-adult fantasy book, adventure, the destruction of dystopian societies, elements of darkness (the old children were definitely creepy). I heard the next two in the trilogy are even better, I'm excited.
ummmmm this book was very strange. VERY VERY STRANGE. but i found myself liking it, for some reason. but just to warn you, if you haven't read it, this is one of the weirdest things i have read in my entire life.
