Lots of the action was on land and much of the book consisted of Jack explaining various things to Stephen like the process of enclosing common areas for farming which was not exactly scintillating. 19 in the series. Really great historical fiction. I listened to some Horatio Hornblower novels this year as well and while those are good Patrick O'Brians two main characters are the best.
