Read this when I was about twelve and remember absolutely loving it. Without reading it again I can't say for sure if it's stood the test of time, it was back in the early nineties after all. However, given how popular the paranormal sub-genre is within YA books I'd take a guess and say Remember M...

I did not love this book. Things were simply too perfect all the time. From the beginning Sita has no weaknesses and she gains more as the story goes along. She is an interesting character and I will probably continue to read the series but I was bored till the end of the book.

Interesting read though it leaves me a little confused. I have to think about it a bit more. There are aspects I liked (the focus on religion) and those that grossed me out (the description of Sita feedings), but overall it was... interesting. She's definitely a different type of vampire.

While I am not going to say this was the best book (books?) I have ever read, it also wasn't the worst. Pike offers an interesting take on the vampire mythology, originating in India and involving Krishna. That was really mostly what kept me reading. I did buy this book for $4 so it wasn't a complet...

I'm torn with this set. I loved the flashbacks, but thought the present tense stuff was contrived and unbelievable. That, combined with the stilted dialogue, where modern day characters refuse to use contractions was enough of a distraction to make this book a three star for me.

Thirst No.1 is not like the popular vampire stories of today. It was a good book but it was very different than what I am used to reading. I would have to recommend giving it a shot though if you enjoy non-traditional vampire tales.Thirst No.1 is actually the first three books in the series; The L...

No Pike for me. I just encountered the whole Amazon bruhaha over Secret of Ka in which Pike uses a sockpuppet to justify his poor writing to a reader. Ew, and the sockpuppet was previously used to write gushing Amazon reviews of Pike's books. Major author fail.

I can't rate it a half point, so I gave it a 1.Probably one of the worst books I've read/attempted to read in a long time. The character is self-obsessed and annoying, the writing is flat and monotone, and I just couldn't even finish this book. Sorry to say, but I didn't like this one at all. The st...
