A reluctant 4 stars, definitely rounded up from 3.5. Nightsuite is a solid four star Tessier story that consists of three little seemingly disconnected sections that end up to be all too connected in the end. Enigmatic and weird in only the way Tessier is; he can be outrageously bizarre or just hint...

This was an ok read, 2.5 stars from me.I've never been a huge fan of short stories, it takes a lot for them to be really good (in my opinion). Some of these stories were better then others, which I find to be the case in most of these collections. I think the stories range between 1 star and 3 stars....

The Basics Miles hasn’t been back to the family farm in Arden, Wisconsin in twenty years. He left behind a reputation as a troublemaker, but he feels Arden is the place to be no matter how the locals hate him. Because he has to keep a promise he made all those years ago. My Thoughts Let’s star...

I have as tough time reviewing short story anthologies and collections. What if some of the stories are great and others suck? Should I tell some one to avoid it? I also hate reeling off the plot points of each story or even the highlight stories, just read the damn thing yourself, you don't want me...

Tessier's first novel delves into his fascination with Philip K. Dick. It's actually a little more intelligent than some of his better books, if that makes any sense. Millville, CN is one bad place to live. There's a blue flame monster, sometimes more than one, tearing the place and it's residents u...

Even though I gave this five stars it is not my favorite Tessier novel. It probably comes 3rd on my list after Fog Heart and Finishing Touches. It's just a really well scripted murder mystery thriller on top of being a great novel. What if you found out your dad was Adolph Hitler? This isn't horror, i...

Thomas Tessier must either want to laugh his ass off or put a bullet in his head when he sees his books rated and reviewed. Maybe it's these bizarre lurid covers that have nothing to do with the contents that throws people off. The cover of my book has a gloved hand parting some Venetian blinds with...

A strange enigmatic little book that is hard to review. I obviously liked it but still haven't come to terms with what it all means. I know, I know you want me to tell you what it is like so you can file it away in some category you have. Alright, it's like [book:Dandelion Wine|50033] meets [book:Th...

This book was pretty weak. It is hard to believe that this is the same guy who wrote [b:Finishing Touches|287641|Finishing Touches|Thomas Tessier|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348371040s/287641.jpg|279070] and [b:Fog Heart|1490104|Fog Heart|Thomas Tessier|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312029869s/14...
