Shadow on the Crown - Patricia Bracewell

Time to get started on a book that was one of my favorites from last year, Patricia Bracewell's Shadow on the Crown. I love Bracewell's depiction of Emma of Normandy and the politics of this time. Her take on the relationship between the infamous Aethelred and his son's is completely different than that in Helen Hollick's Forever Queen, which is also a worthwhile read.

In previous months I have seen club member reviews appearing on our book club page, but I'm not seeing a link to mine for Shadow on the Crown. Maybe it's only if we've reviewed it within the reading month. Anyway, here's the link to my review of this month's selection.
