Everyone kneads a good bread or roll recipe.
This might take a couple posts. Here is the recipe. Elsie was a friend of my late Mum and I think she would be happy to know that her recipe was still around and appreciated.

Elsie's Best of the Best Rolls

2 cups scalded milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar + 1 tbs
6 or 7 cups Gold Medal presifted flour
2 eggs
5 tbs butter
1 yeast cake dissolved in tbs lukewarm water+ 1 tsp sugar

Put 5 cups flour in large pan and make a well in center. Add sugar, then 5 tbs butter (melted), cool milk to lukewarm then add to mixture. Beat eggs to fork, add to well, add salt, add yeast mixture. Beat together with large spoon, add other flour. Knead until smooth and elastic to touch. May take a little more flour. Grease large pan, place dough in and let rise to twice original size. May take 2 or 3 hrs. Make into rolls, let rise for 2 hrs or double in size. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 325degree oven.

These are the best, well worth the time.
