Is there any way to choose a specific edition of a book? I read a lot of audio books, occasionally of one that I have already read in hardcover or paperback, and would like to specify which one I am reading. However, as far as I can see, there is no way to do this.

Maybe search the specific edition on amazon or another homepage and then just use the ASIN or ISBN to search this book here on booklikes. This way you should find the right edition you're looking for. I hope that helped and I did't completely understand your question wrong :)

edit: I just checked, you can add more than one edition of a book on your shelf. e.g. I have the paperback and audiobook version of one book on my shelves.

I tried that and it doesn't seem to work, at least for the specific book I was looking for. That's one thing that's definitely better on Goodreads. It lists the different editions, and even if I can't find, say, the specific audio I'm looking for, I can usually find AN audio version or add one.

I just tried a few audiobooks and about 1/3 couldn't be found - but I had the chance to add those by myself. Maybe that's an option for you?

An other thing that just popped into my mind is the "shelve it!"-button. Have you tried it? You can find it when you switch to your bookshelf and in the row with g+1, tweet, facebook like etc. there is also "shelve it!" on the left side. When you click on it and drag it to the favourites bar of your browser, you can just go to the product site on amazon.com e.g. and click on the "shelve it!"-button. Then you're redirected to booklikes and a new site opens where you can add the book. I tried this with a book that I couldn't find with the ASIN previously and it worked - but maybe I just had luck

btw you said that it was great on goodreads that you at least could find other audioversions of the specific book. I just typed "[book name] audio" into the search bar on the dashboard and a few options turned up. And I tried it with two books where I couldn't find a specific audio book version.

If those things do not work either, maybe ask in the bug report thread once again or write an email to the booklikes team. Maybe they can fix it for you :)
