I'm creating this thread for any discussion that falls outside the list of what we like and review on our blogs.
And, to begin with, one member has asked whether we should have individual threads for each genre. Since so many of us cross many genres, that would entail posting to several different threads, which was my concern initially. Also, it wouldn't account for those of us who either like to read or write on topics that aren't genre-related.
So I'll just throw it out to the group: What do you think? Any suggestions? Or should we keep it as it is?
Hmmm, maybe threads can be started for more obscure genres, or genres that people feel are underrepresented. I've seen a few people have a hard time finding blogs that post predominantly about non-fiction books. So maybe a thread that helps those people find eachother easily?
Who am I to discourage initiative? In keeping with Bookstooge's creation of a science fiction/fantasy thread, I am creating a couple more, and anyone who wants to can fill in the gaps.
I suspect "Erotica" may need to be divided.
"Non-fiction," as well.
And so on.
I would merely suggest that we try to group things when it makes sense to do so (e.g., SF/Fantasy, Mystery/Suspense...)
