Mergablerg, This book. I really struggled on how to rate this because of all the issues surrounding this book and Greg Mortenson in general. From a purely book stand point the writing came off as hero worship but was otherwise okay. But this book was billed as nonfiction and huge chunks where eith...

It's hard to overstate how important the work Greg Mortenson does is and he is a very admirable guy... but this book is not very much fun to read. No wonder people have such a bad impression of nonfiction :",",",",",",0,,,,, 22188,Gossip Girl (Gossip Girl

A beautifully written book. I really enjoyed the authors descriptions of his travels and reasons for forming the foundations which he developed. I really felt, as he wrote, that I was there experiencing alot of what he was writing about.
