by Chris Stewart
Short, sweet, funny, but also warm & inspiring, this book is about the author's experience as a first-time sailor. It chronicles the sailing journey of both pleasant & not so pleasant (I'm being modest here; to know the actual level of the unpleasantness, you have to read it for yourself) from Greece...
Supposed to be a funny book, but apart from the odd item didn't laugh that much. That said was written well as all the other Chris Stewart books are
Part One - Competent Crew. Teach Yourself Sailing. It was Julie Miller who sent me to sea, one wet autumn afternoon on the Wandsworth Road.A pleasant way to spend a blastingly hot summer afternoon but I would not recommend it on to anyone. Read like a shallow sunday magazine piece.
