Very predictable, but a fast read. Not my favorite parallel world book, but not the worst either. Nina was by far the best character and she wasn't in it enough for my liking.
What did I think? Hmmm. I'll have to think about that. This was an interesting story. Great premise - alternate universes, and as I'm a sucker for time travel (which generally involves alternate realities), it was excellent on that count. The way the two realities differed provided the mystery an...
Initial reaction: I'm on the fence about "Through to You" because I think the novel became so much better towards the end, but the beginning and middle were muddled to heck and back. I was incredibly frustrated with it in parts. I read the audiobook version provided by my library, and Jesse Berns...
Through To You By Emily Hainsworth Genre: YA, Romance, Sci-fi Format: eARC, 272 pages Published October 2nd 2012 by Balzer + Bray (Harper Teen) Camden Pike has been grief-stricken since his girlfriend, Viv, died. He’d give anything to have just one more glimpse of her. But when Cam visit...
Grieving, moving on, trying to get through every day when everything becomes a chore, a mechanical movement of limbs; it's all for everything and nothing. Life would have been a lot easier if there was a chance to see how it could all go beforehand. How it would all be if you didn't lose that one pe...
My Rating: 4.0 Before reading Through to You, I was very skeptical about the book. Could Emily Hainsworth pull off writing about a teenage guy, a jock to be specific, mourning for his dead girlfriend without it being too stereotyped, whiny, or just plain boring? To my surprise she managed to do it...
A copy of Through to You was kindly provided to me by Edelweiss/Balzer + Bray.Camden Pike is a shadow of his former self after losing his girlfriend Viv in a car accident, believing it is his fault he stops doing everything he loves and more or less just exists. A lot happens to Cam in a short spate...
Erm,what to say about this book? I kind of expected it to be a little more special but all I got was story about Camden who's still pining over the death of his girlfriend. I usually enjoy 'emo' books but this was not one of them. Sorry.
Initial review: I truly enjoyed this book. My heart is STILL a little broken after finishing it, but in a good way. Full review coming if I ever have the words to do this book justice!
