His main character is Edmund "Jupiter" Jones, an amateur investigator who, like his creator, attended Harvard University. The debut novel, Harvard Has a Homicide), written in just over two months when Fuller was a twenty-one student, had an unexpected honor: it was the first story to be published in episodes in the prestigious literary magazine The Atlantic Monthly.
