Callie Woodville had imagined her wedding day since she was a little girl... She thought she'd found the perfect man in her boss Eduardo Cruz - but, 'Get out!' wasn't exactly the morning-after treatment she'd hoped for. She'd never dreamed it would be like this! Holding her wilting bouquet, Callie w...

I have this feeling that Jennie Lucas always has fun writing her books. They are so dramatic! She doesn't seem fearful about going for it with story ideas. This book has some very iconic imagery, such as Callie sitting on the steps of her old apartment, in a too-big wedding dress hiding her pregna...

So often you get an a-hole man--tyrant is the word most used--Eduardo was no different, but he had a back story that made his actions and motivations realistic to his situation. Callie was a small town fami...

3.5 stars. I really wanted to punch Eduardo at one time in this book. He was awful to keep her from her family. He did have some serious hang ups, though. At times he was loving and sweet, which is why I upped it half a star. Callie was a bit OTT at times but it was good enough to keep interested.
