Tom Folske was born in Minneapolis Minnesota and spent the majority of his life living in all different parts of the state. He is currently attending school to be a teacher and is also pursuing a certification in creative writing. He is an avid fan of everything horror, especially short stories, novels, eighties and nineties horror movies, survival horror video games, and classic Victorian-era horror. Some of his inspirations include: Clive Barker, Joss Whedon, Stephen King, Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Richard Matheson, Rod Serling, Bram Stoker, Bruce Coville, Patricia C. Wrede, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Walt Disney, Don Bluth, Charles Band, C.S. Lewis, R.L. Stine, Alvin Schwartz, Hayao Miyazaki, Hironobu Sakaguchi, The Brothers Grimm, Lars Von Trier, Kevin Williamson, John Shirley, Hans Christian Anderson, Sam Raimi, Eric Kripke, J.K. Rowling, Brian Jacques, K.A. Applegate, Gary Larson, Jim Davis, Chris Carter, William H. Gaines, and H.P. Lovecraft. Tom has been writing since he was twelve but only recently started submitting work for publication. He has had pieces published by Papa Bear Press, Phoenix Fire Publishing and The Century Times Magazine, and he is awaiting publication of his work by Siren's Call Publications and Eber & Wein Publishing.
