Tony Burton was born in rural Georgia in 1956 and grew up there. In 1974 he joined the U.S. Navy and began to see the world, traveling to 38 states and fifteen foreign countries. His writing experiences extend back for twenty years. Tony has authored training and technical manuals, novels, short stories, poetry, and newspaper and magazine articles. After years of working as a consultant and trainer in high-tech fields, Tony decided to stop living out of a suitcase and spending 75% of his time away from home, by devoting himself full-time to writing. He has two published novels and short stories published in six anthologies, as well as in various print and online venues. He teaches Creative Writing at his local Arts Center, and is a Writing Examiner for the Atlanta, Georgia area.
