The penguins are currently playful, but since there's an odd mix of species and a leopard seal mom, and her harp seal baby, I think the author maybe doesn't know what he's writing about. And since the young penguin-fancier in the house reads a lot of nonfiction, the mistakes were glaring.

Eye-poppingly gorgeous illustrations and a cover so delicious that I want to lick the plum from the paper. 'The Elegant Elephant Delicatessen' is the visual centrepiece of the book (it opens up to a four page spread) but the longest poem is 'Mrs. Bhattacharya's Chapati Zap Machine', a title which t...

A great read-aloud. Dinosaurs go through their day, making all sorts of actions and noise.
