Eh. Maybe I'm not a fan of the conflict of interest trope. But the entire plot of this book is based on something that the hero should have just spit out to the heroine on page one. Oh well. #1 in this series was much better...
There was a moment in the middle of this book that I wasn't sure I bought the conflict, but the end pulled it together perfectly. Can't talk about how much I loved this book without spoilers, but I'll just say that Merry is probably my favourite heroine of all time. Shane's okay too. ;)

Full review published here: http://www.brazenbookworm.com/2013/05/book-review-too-hot-to-handle-by.htmlReally liked this one - tops among the Dahl books I've read. Great heroine and hero, interesting plot, very hot, very funny.
This story was okay. It had the common theme of a hero who doesn't want commitment and in this case he was even her secret opponent but the story picked up when she finally woke up and got assertive. Merry is hired to set up a historical museum town and hires construction worker Shane to renovate.
Some laugh-out-loud moments and great sex scenes, plus a heroine who's more complicated than she appears at first glance. I think Dahl's books would appeal to Susan Elizabeth Phillips fans.
