One of my mother's favourites. She's constantly referring to it. Looks scary to me. Real life horror. Maybe one day, when I'm feeling brave.
The insightful parts of this book are when she's observing the behavior of traumatized children, especially the group kidnapped on the bus. The less good parts deal with repressed memory, and the book's 1980's age really shows there. The bad parts of the book read like the papers of a frustrated e...
